Founded in 2019, S&G Commodities was formed out of a belief that creative thinking opens the door to unique opportunities in the commodities industry. MARC SMITH

Marc, a native of Southwest Iowa, is the founder and President of S&G Commodities. Marc brings over 16 years of merchandising and management experience to the company, primarily focused on trading specialty grains and feed ingredients. In his free time, Marc enjoys traveling with his wife Liz, sons Henry and Jack, and working on his family’s farm.

ADAM MASCHE

A native of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and a graduate of The University of Minnesota, Adam is a Senior Merchandiser. He brings over 17 years of experience in the grain industry to S&G Commodities, including a wide array of commodity trading experience—from merchandising conventional corn and wheat at a country elevator to developing markets and supply chains for specialty commodities. In his free time, Adam likes to travel with his wife, Jess, to warmer climates and go on fishing trips with his family.

 

Keaton Payne

Keaton brings eight years of merchandising and operations experience in the grain industry to S&G Commodities. During his career he has originated conventional corn, soybeans, and wheat at a barge loading facility on the Mississippi River and several CSXT shuttle loaders, was an assistant superintendent at an export facility loading bulk vessels in The Gulf, and managed a UP shuttle loader in Nebraska. Originally from Southwest Missouri, Keaton grew up on a beef cattle farm before graduating from Northwest Missouri State with a degree in Agricultural Science. Keaton enjoys cooking delicious, and sometimes adventurous, meals at home for his wife.

 

MIKE WOOSTER

A native of Omaha, NE and a graduate from the University of Nebraska, Mike brings ten years of sales and management experience, eight of which in the grain industry, to S&G Commodities. Mike’s experience ranges from merchandising conventional wheat, soybeans, and corn at a BNSF shuttle loader in North Dakota, managing the conventional wheat business for Viterra, (then Gavilon) in the Columbia River Basin, and building robust supply chains in the specialty milling and feed ingredient markets. Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, Alexa, son Emmett, and their dog Brody, and countless hours on the golf course.

 

KYLIE BROWN

Kylie Brown, originally from southern Indiana, is the newest member of the S&G Commodities team. She brings tremendous work ethic and desire to the role of Commodity Accounting Specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University Southeast and is currently working to obtain a Certified Public Accounting Certification. In her free time, Kylie enjoys watching movies and taking her Great Dane, Thor, on walks to the dog park.

 

COBY WILSON

Coby Wilson, originally from Central Arkansas, joins S&G Commodities as a feed ingredient trader in our Omaha office. Coby holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Oklahoma State University and a master’s in marketing from Liberty University. Prior to joining S&G, Coby traded cross country feed ingredients such as corn and cotton by-products. In his free time Coby likes to golf, ski, travel, visit national parks, and working on the family ranch.

 

RUSSELL HARRED

Russell Harred, from Central Texas, joins S&G Commodities as a feed ingredient trader in our Texas office. Russell holds a bachelor's degree in Animal Science and a masters of agribusiness from Texas A&M University. Russell has over 14 years of experience trading various cotton products, feed ingredients, and feed grains in the Central Texas feed market, both by rail and truck. Russell enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, hunting, and attending various Texas A&M sporting events.
